50 ปกแผ่นเสียงที่สวยที่สุดแห่งปี 2016

Art Vinyl หรือ artvinyl.com ของอังกฤษ เผย 50 ปกแผ่นเสียงที่ได้รับการเสนอชื่อ หน้าปกแผ่นเสียงแห่งปี 2016 (Best Art Vinyl 2016) โดยรายชื่อดังกล่าวได้รับการเสนอจากสมาชิกในอุตสาหกรรมดนตรีและผู้ชนะที่ได้รับรางวัลก่อนหน้านี้

The Getaway ของ Red Hot Chili Peppers ออกแบบโดย Kevin Peterson, Blackstar ของ David Bowie ออกแบบโดย Jonathan Barnbrook, อัลบั้ม You Want It Darker ของ Leonard Cohen ออกแบบโดย Sammy Slabbinck และ Anti ของ Rihanna ออกแบบโดย Roy Nachum คือบางรายชื่อของแผ่นเสียงทั้ง 50 อัลบั้ม

Andrew Heeps ผู้ก่อตั้ง Art Vinyl เมื่อปี 2004 มีความหวังที่จะให้คนรุ่นใหม่ชื่นชอบความสวยงามและศิลปะที่อยู่บนแผ่นเสียง และการให้รางวัล Best Art Vinyl มาตลอดระยะเวลา 12 ปี (2005-2016) ก็เพื่อหวังผลักดันและส่งเสริมคนมีฝีมือรุ่นใหม่ๆ ในวงการ

หลังจากเผยรายชื่อ 50 แผ่นเสียงที่เข้ารอบสุดท้ายที่คัดเลือกโดยผู้คนในวงการ ทาง Art Vinyl ได้เปิดให้คนทั่วไปเลือกโหวตปกแผ่นเสียงในดวงใจผ่านทาง Best Art Vinyl 2016 เพื่อค้นหาปกแผ่นเสียงแห่งปี 2016 และจะประกาศผลผู้ชนะในวันที่ 5 มกราคม ปี 2017 ณ โรงแรม The Hari ในกรุงลอนดอน
